[EI-4.3 — PTIR Normalization]

EI-4.3 — PTIR Normalization

Status: COMPLETE
Date: 2026-08-08

Objective

Make PTIR a first-class publication identified by explicit metadata rather than legacy category membership.

Production corpus

EI-4.3 normalized 22 PTIR editions in _posts/, spanning July 28 through August 8, 2026.

Every edition now carries:

content_type: briefing
series: PTIR

Existing edition, date, title, permalink, publication state, topical tags, and body content were preserved. The legacy categories: PTIR block was removed.

Discovery changes

  • /ptir/ now requires explicit series: PTIR plus content_type: briefing.
  • /writing/ excludes PTIR through publication metadata rather than PTIR category membership.
  • The homepage Recent Writing section excludes PTIR through explicit metadata.
  • The homepage Latest PTIR selector uses explicit metadata.
  • The homepage compatibility link labeled “Read the blog” now points and reads “More writing”.

Governance

New PTIR editions must use series: PTIR and content_type: briefing. PTIR is not a subject category. Discovery logic must not depend on title matching or categories: PTIR.

Guardrails

  • No PTIR body content was rewritten.
  • No PTIR permalink was changed.
  • Topical tags were preserved for later governance review.
  • No historical/privacy disposition was changed.

Next sprint: EI-4.4 — URL & Redirect Governance.
